1 March 2023 – Soho Square Capital LLP (“Soho Square”), an investment firm focused on serving the financing needs of established and growing UK and European SMEs, has today won Deal of the Year in Europe category in the Private Debt Investor Awards 2022 for its investment in specialist glass manufacturer Technical Fire Safety Group Ltd (“TFSG”).
Soho Square originally invested in TFSG in 2018 with a plan to drive growth through investments in R&D, enhanced manufacturing capacity and expansion into new geographies. During Soho Square’s investment period, TFSG grew rapidly with revenue and EBITDA both increasing threefold to become Europe’s market-leading independent fire safety glass specialist, producing, processing and supplying mission critical fire-rated products to over 1,300 customers across 40+ countries, in both the construction and refurbishment markets.
Consisting of senior capital and a minority equity stake, Soho Squares’ investment in TFSG was typical of the type of investment that it pursues in the UK and northern European markets.
