Stephen Edwards: “We commonly prepare a structure as if we were a normal private equity fund, showing that this is what we think a private equity offer might look like. Then project forward what you’d get under a private equity structure in three, four or five years’ time, and compare the two. Growth will drive that difference.”
“Secondly, it brings the debate to the right area where we find the founder is focusing on: ‘I’m getting the cash that I would like to have today, but I don’t need to sell the majority of the business today…’ And that’s the whole point of the structure that Soho Square offers.”
