Soho Square Capital LLP

30th November 2021

London, 30 November 2021: Soho Square Capital (“Soho Square”), an investment firm focused on serving the financing needs of established and growing UK and European SMEs, launched today.

With a proven team that has been investing together for over 15 years, Soho Square closely aligns its interests with the companies it partners with and structures its investment, typically in the form of senior or preferred capital with minority equity stakes, to enable change, drive growth and support ambitious leaders to realise their long-term goals.

Co-Managing Partners Stephen Edwards and Walid Fakhry commented:
“The niche SME market continues to provide great opportunities, with the often-complex requirements of corporates playing to Soho Square’s deep expertise and best-in-class skillsets.

“Our solutions are more flexible than traditional credit financing while minimising the equity dilution for business owners that is a feature of traditional private equity. By enabling founders to maintain more control we deliver a strong alignment of interest with shareholders, which is particularly attractive to both founders and management teams.

“We are excited to get to work as Soho Square Capital to deliver a compelling proposition for our partner companies and we would like to thank our existing and new investors for their support for our latest fund that has recently closed.”

The experienced Soho Square team work closely with ambitions leaders to provide hands on support and guidance for the course of the investment, alongside a bespoke financing solution.

The Soho Square Partners set up Core Capital, a UK lower mid-market private equity fund, in 2004. The Soho Square team manages >£250 million AUM and has two funds under management. The current portfolio includes Alpine Fire Engineers, Arcus FM, Avonside, Brasserie Barco, Churchill Group, Netomnia and Technical Fire Safety Group.
